Benefits of Group Music Therapy:
Any therapy process can be emotionally and personally challenging, groups mean you will not be alone in this process.
Provides individuals with the opportunity to find voice within group and be heard.
Develop self awareness, as well as build on capacity to listen and support others.
Be creative and express yourself with the support of others.
Foster positive relationships.
It is important to note that for each group the goals and focus of group will differ. For example when working in Elderly dementia care there will be a focus on memory recall, sharing and valuing life stories as well as supporting those in coming to terms with diagnosis.
If you would like further information on a particular group please do not hesitate to get in touch and I am happy to answer any questions you may have.
Session will take place on site with service users, or at organisations alternate facilities. It is important that sessions take place in a safe and uninterrupted private space each week, which is consistently available. Some musical resources are also essential for clients to take part. If you have any questions or need further support here I can assist in scoping and sourcing instruments. I will also be able to provide some musical resources, but may not be able to provide all.
Cost Per Session
Session fee is dependant on group size and duration. Session fees start at £100 for 30 minute session for group of 3.
